PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide terminal fittings whereby locking can be reliably secured and a problem of abrasion in a contact part can be dissolved. SOLUTION: A locking protrusion 4 is protrusively provided on the tab part 3 of the male terminal fitting 1. An elastic contact piece 11 to elastically make contact with the tab part 3 is provided in the inside of the connecting part 10 of the female terminal fitting 2. In addition, a locking recessed part 6 to which the locking protrusion 4 is fitted is provided on the upper wall 20. If both terminal fittings 1, 2 are engaged with each other at a normal position, the contact part 15 of the elastic contact piece 11 abuts on the tub part 3 to secure electrical contact between both terminal fittings 1, 2, and the locking protrusion 4 is fitted in the locking recessed part 6 to secure locking.
