PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the manufacture cost and to improve the yield by making a member as a conventional metal core wire unnecessary. SOLUTION: The core wire 13 is produced by depositing a conductive layer 13b on the peripheral face of an optical fiber 13a, and an electrodeposition metal 29 is deposited around the conductive layer 13b by electrocasting to complete a metal ferrule 31. Thus, the metal ferrule 31 with an optical fiber attached, in which the optical fiber 13a is coated with the electrodeposition metal 29, is completed without using a conventional metal core wire.
