An air bag device start control device capable of generalizing a satellite sensor so as to reduce the management cost. The air bag device start control device includes: at least one shock detector arranged at a predetermined position of a vehicle for detecting a shock degree applied to the vehicle; and a main controller connected to the shock detector by communication, for judging the collision state according to the output signal of the shock detector received from the shock detector and controlling start of the air bag device mounted on the vehicle. The shock detector receives threshold value data on the shock degree detected from the main controller, stores it, and controls transmission of an output signal to the main controller according to the threshold value data stored. The main controller stores predetermined threshold value data corresponding to each shock detector arranged in the vehicle and transmits the stored threshold value data to the corresponding shock detector.
