PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle alarm device capable of further enhancing adaptability between a driver's driving characteristics and the timing to sound an alarm. SOLUTION: The vehicle alarm device 10 includes a one's own vehicle speed detection means 16 for detecting the speed of one's own vehicle; an alarm timing determining means 22 for determining the timing to sound an alarm based on a given idle running timeτ, a given assumed deceleration K×μmax×g of the one's own vehicle after the elapse of the given idle running time, and a given headway time Td; and a parameter varying means 12 for varying at least either of the values of the given idle running timeτ, the given assumed deceleration K×μmax×g, and the given headway time Td according to the detected speed of the one's own vehicle.
