<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a correlation processing method, an apparatus with reduced power consumption in correlation processing, and a receiver using the same; a correlation processing method, a device with reduced power consumption in multiplication processing, and a receiver using the same; and a correlational processing method, a device with reduced power consumption in addition processing, and a receiver using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A code generation part 16 generates 300 series of spread codes. A code value setting part 14 defines a value with a larger number of two kinds of values as "0" and "1" of the spread codes included in the 300 series of spread codes as a first code value and defines a value with a smaller number of them as a second code value. A selection part 32 outputs one of a spread signal or its inversion signal as a target signal 304. An operation part 24 outputs the target signal 304 as a result 306 of a larger number of operations in the case of the first code value and outputs the target signal 304 as a result 308 of a smaller number of operations in the case of the second code value. A first partial adding part 34 and a second partial adding part 36 add the result 306 of a larger number of operations and the result 308 of smaller number of operations, and outputs a first addition result 310 and a second addition result 312.
