PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition whose flame retardancy, flowability, and heat deformation temperature are improved, and to provide a manufacturing process therefor. SOLUTION: As an additive blend for the flame-retardant thermoplastic resin, an additive blend which is obtained by compounding a melamine polyphosphate, a ferrocene or an organic iron compound to an organic phosphate compound other than the melamine polyphosphate is used. Preferably, 100 pts.wt. of the resin composition contains approximately 0.5-5 pts.wt. of the melamine polyphosphate and approximately 0.2-5.0 pts. wt. of the ferrocene or the organic iron compound. As examples of the organic phosphate compound other than the melamine polyphosphate, (tetraphenyl)bisdiphenyl phosphates of resorcinol, hydroquinone and Bisphenol A, and their polymerized forms are cited.
