<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can perform subsequent jobs even if recording paper runs out and automatically classify the recording paper which is printed and outputted. <P>SOLUTION: The printer includes: a paper feed means 3 for supplying a plurality of different recording paper; a plurality of discharging trays 4; a job queue 2a for storing a plurality of printing jobs; and a control means 1 for interrupting a printing job when recording paper required for the job being performed runs out in the paper feed means 3, switching over to another discharging tray 4 and retrieving a printing job to use available recording paper for execution of the job. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
