The invention relates to a vehicle seat provided with an active suspension comprising a vibration-isolating frame (2) positioned in a resilient manner; a mechanical seat system (6a, 6b, 8a, 8b, 10, 13) which can be displaced by means of at least two actuators (4a,4b) and is coupled to the vibration-isolating frame (2); at least two acceleration sensors (11,12), the first sensor being arranged on a spring-supporting point close to a first articulation axis, and the second acceleration sensor being arranged on a spring-supporting point close to a second articulation axis; and at least two controllers (S1,S2), a power electronics mechanism and a control electronics mechanism (R1,R2,FFC,E,CU) used to process the signals of the acceleration sensors and convert the same into nominal actuating forces (F*1,F*2) which are used as control commands for the controllers (Sl,S2) for the operation of the actuators (4a,4b). The invention is characterised in that the vibration-isolating frame (2) can be displaced in two degrees of freedom of motion by means of the two actuators (4a,4b), and dynamic forces introduced into the seat by the console of the vehicle chassis are compensated in two degrees of freedom of motion by means of the power electronics mechanism and the control electronics mechanism (R1,R2,FFC,E,CU).
