<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an improvement in device characteristics by reducing the number of parts in a millimeter wave unit structure, reducing cost and improving assembling performance. <P>SOLUTION: The millimeter wave unit in a radar device for measuring the distance to a target from a beat signal obtained by transmitting a frequency modulation signal, receiving a signal having returned after reflection of the target and obtained by mixing with the transmission signal is constituted of an electric circuit board, a base chassis 30 and an antenna. On the base chassis 30, a MMIC 42 containing an oscillator and a processing circuit is mounted, the MMIC 42 is contained in a containing recess part 32A formed in the base chassis 30 and a ventilation hole 32B is provided at the bottom of the containing recess part 32A. The containing recess part 32A may be formed in a penetration hole 32 by enlarging the ventilation hole 32B to the containing recess part 32A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
