<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel for inputting data with a input load leading to comfortable writing, and to provide a display unit equipped with this touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: In this resistance film type touch panel where a movable substrate and a fixed substrate having electrodes consisting of transparent conductive films are arranged so that those electrodes face to each other with an air layer interposed; (i) a movable substrate is provided with a polarizing function, and positioned at a viewing side, (ii) one of those opposite electrodes is provided with a plurality of dot spacers, and (iii) the height h(m) from the electrode of the dot spacer, an arrangement interval p(m) of the dot spacer, thickness t(m) of the movable substrate, and a flexural modulus of elasticity E(N/m<SP>2</SP>) of the movable substrate fulfill a formula (1) when an input load is defined as F.
