PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyprolpylene fiber for reinforcing cement which has a hydrophilic surface, is easily dispersible in cement, physically bonds well with cement, and gives a cement molded product with improved bending toughness. SOLUTION: A polypropylene fiber comprising a monofilament having an uneven surface and a single yarn fineness of≥200 dt and spun out of a polypropylene resin is subjected to a surface treatment; that is, the surface of this polypropylene fiber is coated with 0.3-10 wt.% surface-treating agent comprising at least one compound selected from among carboxylic acid compounds or sulfonic acid compounds, thus giving the polypropylene fiber for reinforcing cement.
