PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent damages of a reel when holding the reel, to hold the reel without any play, and to hold the reel irrespective of the shape of a center hole of rotation of the reel. SOLUTION: A rotating device 10 has a holding unit 13 having a main drive unit 11 and a driven unit 12 capable of holding a pair of flange-shaped members R4 to form a reel R therebetween. The main drive unit 11 is brought into contact with one flange-shaped member R4 to give the rotational force to the reel R. The driven unit 12 is brought into contact with the other flange-shaped member R4, and attachable/detachable to/from the main drive unit 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
