PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque limiter capable of stabilizing a set torque value by minimizing an adverse effect to the set torque value due to assembly accuracy of each component, and capable of securing a sufficiently large set torque value even when it is compact. SOLUTION: The torque limiter is provided with a plurality of rollers 5 interposed between an outer ring 2 and an inner ring 4 arranged around the same axis, a cam face 4a formed so as to arrange a plurality of engaging element housing parts 9 on an outer circumference of the inner ring 4, and a retainer 6 holding each roller 5. When transmission torque is a set torque or less, the torque is transmitted between the outer ring 2 and the inner ring 4 by wedge locking of the rollers 5 in the engaging element housing parts 9. When the transmission torque exceeds the set torque, transmission of torque between the outer ring 2 and the inner ring 4 is cut off by transferring the roller 5 to a cam face 4a of an adjacent engaging element housing part 9 while elastically deforming the outer ring 2 in a radial direction.
