<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax the congestion of the memory access at a controller side, raise the processing rate for an image turning process, and improve the efficiency of the image processing. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a read unit 101, a sensor board unit 102, a memory module 141 at the engine side, an image data controller 142, an image processor 104, a video data controller 105 and an image forming unit 106. It further comprises a process controller 111, a RAM 112, and a ROM 113 through a serial bus 110.
