<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device capable of easily adjusting a lighting current supplied to a discharge lamp such as a fluorescent lamp. <P>SOLUTION: A fluorescent lamp lighting device L capable of lighting fluorescent lamps 1 with different lamp powers by varying the lighting currents from a lighting circuit 8 has a micro computer 6 comprising a calculating means 6a for calculating, based on a digital signal from an input means 7; and a control means 6b for receiving a result of calculation processing at the calculating means 6a and outputting a drive signal to the lighting circuit 8 to supply the lighting current in response to the result of the calculation processing to the fluorescent lamps 1. Accordingly, since the lighting current value can be varied automatically only by inputting the digital signal into the micro computer 6, the lighting current value can be adjusted easily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
