PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a run flat tire highly improved in durability and drivability during run-flat running while maintaining riding quality, rolling resistance index, and wear resistance at normal travelling. SOLUTION: The run flat tire has almost crescent shape at a tire meridian cross section on the inner surface side of the tire in a carcass layer 1 and is equipped with a side reinforcing rubber pad 2 for reinforcing a wall part SW. A thickness distribution coefficientψis obtained from a tire thickness Tsh at a belt end P1 with a maximum width of a belt layer 4, a tire thickness Tce at a position P2 of a maximum width of the tire, and a tire thickness Tpr from an inner surface P4 of the tire which is 1 / 2 of a height H from a top end P3 of a bead core to the position P2 of the maximum width of the tire by formula (1),ψ=2×Tce/(Tsh+Tpr)-1 (1), and the thickness distribution coefficientψsatisfies formula (2), 0.07≤ψ≤0.25.
