PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set by which contents can be distributed inexpensively and efficiently to reduce the down-loading cost of the contents. SOLUTION: A CPU 14 of the portable telephone set 1 determines whether an operation performed immediately before is that of the portable telephone set 1 or is the performance of various events. The CPU 14 displays a corresponding specified fame among a plurality of frames constituting an animation GIF which is down-loaded from a content server and is recorded in a content storage part 16 on a liquid crystal display part 21 in accordance with a determined result (state).
