A plug for securing various items onto a support board has a round plastic moulding with a widened head (4) and with a shaped shank to press into a hole in the board. The shank is fitted with lateral flanges (10) to reinforce the grip into the hole and with a lipped end (9) to grip the edge of the displaced board in the edge of the hole. The items are secured via a shaped aperture in the top of the plug.
