<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a fuel cell system by exhausting nitrogen diffused in a hydrogen system and by suppressing a quantity of exhausted hydrogen to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: When a purge valve 8 to exhaust a hydrogen gas containing nitrogen from a recirculation passage connecting the exhaust passage of the hydrogen gas exhausted from a fuel cell stack 1 to the supply passage of the hydrogen gas is opened, if a flow passing through the purge valve 8 exceeds a prescribed value, the purge valve 8 is closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
