PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic mist countermeasure device which can prevent the trouble by static electricity such as worsening of an image quality due to the concentrated adhesion of ink mist to a medium surface by the static electricity. SOLUTION: In a printer which has a transfer mechanism with a pinch roller 3 arranged opposite to an LF roller 2 by a nip pressure, and an image formation part by a BJ head near the transfer mechanism, a base plate for holding the pinch roller 3 is set. A charge removing member 10 is arranged on the base plate. The charge removing member 10 has a brush part 10a. A leading end of the brush part 10a is set near a surface of the pinch roller 3, so that the static electricity of the surface of the pinch roller 3 and the medium surface is removed.
