PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optically active chrysanthemumic acid alkyl ester. SOLUTION: The method for producing the optically active chrysanthemumic acid alkyl ester comprises optically resolving the chrysanthemumic acid alkyl ester by a chromatographic method using a polysaccharide derivative as a chiral stationary phase. The method is characterized as carrying out the step of optical resolution at a temperature within the range of 20 to -30°C. The polysaccharide derivative is preferably an acylated polysaccharide or a carbamoylated polysaccharide. The acyl group in the acylated polysaccharide cited is preferably acetyl, benzoyl, methylbenzoyl, dimethylbenzoyl, chlorobenzoyl or dichlorobenzoyl. The carbamoyl group in the carbamoylated polysaccharide cited is preferably phenylcarbamoyl, methylphenylcarbamoyl, dimethylphenylcarbamoyl, chlorophenylcarbamoyl, dichlorophenylcarbamoyl orα-phenylethylcarbamoyl, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
