<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having low internal resistance wherein an electrolyte filled in the battery manufacturing process is adapted to quickly permeate an electrode group and uniformly distribute therein. <P>SOLUTION: In the battery in which a positive electrode plate 1, a negative electrode plate 2 and a separator 3 interposed therebetween are wound into an electrode group 4, the separator is made of a parallelly ridge-likely corrugated nonwoven fabric such that the corrugation direction is the same as the winding axis of the electrode group, whereby the filled electrolyte is quickly absorbed through spaces formed by the corrugation 3a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
