PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen winder capable of preventing the winding of a rolling screen in the erroneous direction, i.e. reverse winding, to a winding shaft. SOLUTION: A reverse winding preventive mechanism 7 preventing the winding of the rolling screen 1 in the opposite direction to the winding shaft 2 is installed between the winding shaft 2 and a pulley member 3. The reverse winding preventive mechanism 7 is composed of a first rotating shaft member 8 rotated by the pulley member 3, a second rotating shaft member 9 turned together with the winding shaft 2 and an elastic means 10 urging each opposed end of the first and second rotating shaft members 8 and 9 in the direction where the members are mutually press-bonded.
