PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shell for a muffler capable of minimizing use of corrosion-resistant steel plates that are expensive to compose inner parts, providing corrosion resistance to inner and outer surfaces, and achieving excellent functions of reducing transmitted sound, and preventing leak of exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This shell for a muffler S is formed in a cylindrical state of an inner layer member 2 comprising material having corrosion resistance to corrosive components in exhaust condensation, and an outer layer member 3 comprising material having corrosion resistance to corrosive components existing in driving environments.
