PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic material treatment apparatus which can improve the strength of a handle section at a low cost without increasing the number of parts and does not give rise to sink marks on an upper case surface of an exterior case. SOLUTION: This organic material treatment apparatus is equipped with the handle section 11 for carrying an apparatus body at the exterior case 2 interiorly mounted with a treating vessel 1 for treating organic materials, such as garbage, in which the handle section 11 is formed to a double structure consisting of the exterior case 2 and interior parts (the treating vessel 1). More specifically, an upper case 3 covering the opening edge atop the treating vessel 1 is provided with an outer handle section 11a and the upper part of the treating vessel 1 is provided with an inner handle section 11b formed along the inside surface of the outer handle section 11a, as the handle section 11.
