CONTENTS RETRIEVAL METHOD AND DEVICE, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve contents without narrowing a visibility on a display screen.

SOLUTION: A map production means 11 of a control part 10 produces a search map configured from an image wherein thumb nails comprising images showing an outline of the contents are respectively reduced and two-dimensionally arranged. A detailed image generation means 13 generates an image of a pointer moving on the search map according to user's operation, and generates a detailed image wherein a thumb nail positioned within a selection range of the moved pointer is displayed in an original size with positional relation of the thumb nail within the selection range held. A display control means 15 generates the display screen wherein the pointer and the detailed image are overlaid on the upper side of the search map.
