PURPOSE: A centrifugal fan of a vacuum cleaner is provided to reduce noise without any effect on blowing performance by installing a silencer to a motor. CONSTITUTION: A centrifugal fan of a vacuum cleaner includes a centrifugal impeller(50), a motor(60), a diffuser(70), an impeller cover(80) and a silencer(90). The centrifugal impeller is connected to the motor with a shaft(62). An inlet manifold(64) is formed to the motor. The diffuser converts kinetic energy of fluid sucked to the centrifugal impeller into pressure energy. An inlet manifold(82) of the impeller cover is formed outside of the centrifugal impeller and the diffuser. The silencer is installed to the motor to reduce noise from the inlet manifold of the motor. Thereby, noise generated when the centrifugal impeller is rotated is reduced by installing the silencer to the motor.
