A gully member (1) is attached to the construction location of a floor or roof structure. An extension ring (2) is placed in the gully member such that the ring can be adjusted to a position wherein the flange (9) of the ring extends horizontally. The ring temporarily fixes to the gully member in a horizontal position until the ring is fixed in a position wherein the flange flushes with the structure top surface. An Independent claim is also included for a gully building device.
