<p>This invention relates to procedures for recycling paper products by re- pulping them for use in new paper products. The feasibility of manufacture of recycled pulp and its competitiveness is largely dependent on the yield and the quality of the pulp from a given amou nt of waste paper as starting material. The invention provides a method and system of recovering high yield and high quality pulp using dipolar solvents to weaken hydrogen bonds in the cellulos e and optimizing adjustable factors in the re-pulping process such as temperature. type and concentration of the solvent in water, liquid to solid ratio of the aqueous solvent to repulpable material, duration and kinetics.</p> |
