PURPOSE: An apparatus for transferring splash cover is provided which improves operation efficiency and prevents safety accident by transferring the splash cover promptly and safely during replacement, mounting or dismantling of the splash cover. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for moving a splash cover mounted on an upper part of main iron trough during tapping operation, the apparatus for transferring the splash cover comprises a body part(10) comprising wheels(16) and body(18) connected to wheel shafts(14) in such a way that the wheels and the body travel on rails(12) fixed to the ground adjacently to the main iron trough; a driving part(30) comprising a driving motor(32) fixed onto an upper part of the body to transmit power to the wheel shafts by chain(34), and limit switches(36) fixed to both sides of the body to prevent excessive operation of the driving motor; and liftable and lowerable parts(50) comprising a hydraulic cylinder(54) vertically operated with being fixed to a supporting member(52) fixed onto an upper part of the body, a support member(56) fixed to rod(54a) of the hydraulic cylinder, and a hydraulic pump(58) for supplying hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic cylinder.
