SPOOL FOR WINDING OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE: A spool for winding an optical fiber is provided to compensate the stress generated by the wound optical fiber by controlling the thermal deformation to be formed in a center direction of a barrel. CONSTITUTION: A spool(10) for winding an optical fiber comprises a barrel(11) on which the optical fiber is wound; a flange(12) fixed to be face with the barrel to support the barrel; and a rib(13) supporting the stress generated by the wound optical fiber. A coefficient of thermal expansion of the rib is larger than that of the flange. The rib and the flange are made from an ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene).
