PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene fiber for cement reinforcement which can impart hydrophilicity to a polyolefin resin fiber, and which is excellent in dispersibility and physical bonding with cement, and can improve the bending toughness of a cement molding. SOLUTION: A monofilament with a single yarn fineness of≥200 dt spun from a polyprolylene-based resin, and in which ruggedness is imparted to the surface is subjected to surface oxidation treatment, and the wetting index of the surface is controlled to≥38 dyn/cm, so that the polyprolylene fiber to which hydrophilicity can be imparted, and which has satisfactory dispersibility and physical bonding with cement and can produce a cement molding excellent in bending toughness is obtainable.
