PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer ensuring stabilized ejection of UV-curing ink over a long term by reducing the quantity of UV-rays impinging on a recording head. SOLUTION: The ink jet printer comprises a recording head for ejecting UV-curing ink toward a recording medium, and a section for irradiating UV-curing ink ejected onto the recording medium with UV-rays. Ultraviolet illuminance of wavelength 220-400 nm in the recording head is less than 1% of ultraviolet illuminance of wavelength 220-400 nm on the recording medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
