PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the remaining lifetime of an electrolytic capacitor being used in an inverter or the like, without requiring special modifications or additions of a circuit. SOLUTION: A remaining lifetime determining part 24 measures a transistor switching time Tc of each base driver circuit, from the voltage waveform measured by a wave form measuring device 21, and calculates the remaining lifetime of the capacitor of the base driver circuit of each switching element, from the transistor switching time Tc and a remaining lifetime curve stored in a remaining lifetime curve storage part 22. The remaining lifetime determining part 24 predicts the degree of deterioration of a capacitor of a circuit other than the base driver circuit, from the transistor switching time Tc and a deterioration degree prediction graph stored in a degree of deterioration prediction graph storing part 23.
