<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which has in combination a state where regular image display and the like can be performed and a state where a display surface can function suitably as a luminous mirror surface and to provide an electronic device provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 100 is provided with a liquid crystal panel 140, a reflection polarizing plate 110 disposed on a viewer side of the liquid crystal panel 140 and a reflection polarizing plate 150 disposed on the rear side of the liquid crystal panel 140.
