METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FUNCTIONAL ELEMENT AND MANUFACTURING APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a pattern formation body by an ink jet system which can form a high-definition pattern and has a wide selection range of the film thickness of a functional part, and a manufacturing apparatus for the same.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the functional element includes: a pattern formation preparing process of preparing the pattern formation body having a pattern consisting of a lyophilic area and a water-repellent area on its surface; a cooling process of cooling the temperature of the surface of the pattern formation body to 0 to 25°C; a coating process of applying coating liquid for functional part formation forming the functional part; and a temperature raising process of raising the temperature of the pattern formation body surface coated with the coating liquid for functional part formation to 10 to 35°C.
