PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency heating apparatus for efficiently finishing a frozen food at a set temperature without causing heating irregularity. SOLUTION: The high frequency heating apparatus comprises a heating chamber 2 for storing a heated object 1, a magnetron 3 for generating microwaves, a control part 6 for controlling the operation of the magnetron 3, and a weight sensor 5 for measuring the weight of the heated object 1. In order to heat the frozen heated object 1 up to a set temperature, the control part 6 computes a heating time t6 from the weight of the heated object 1 measured by the weight sensor 5. The heating time t is allocated into a specified heating time t1 and an additional heating time t2, the specified heating time t1 serving for heating with an output 1/2 times or less the maxim output of the magnetron 3 and the additional heating time t2 serving for heating with the maximum output of the magnetron 3.
