<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor control device capable of ensuring a fail safe mode even if failure occurs in an overcurrent detecting part. <P>SOLUTION: This electric motor control device 10 comprises the overcurrent detecting part 24 for fetching a detecting signal corresponding to a current value of a drive power supplied to an electric motor 20, and a control unit 23 for controlling supply of the drive power to the electric motor in order to control operation of the electric motor 20. When the control unit 23 detects some abnormality of the overcurrent detecting part 24 itself in order to drive the electric motor 20 in operating, is operated so as to drive the electric motor 20 at low electric power which causes no failure by the overcurrent to the electric motor 20. Any failure by operation stopping of the electric motor can be prevented by introducing the fail safe mode into the electric motor control device, because the operation of the electric motor is not stopped even if such a situation that the overcurrent is supplied to the electric motor occurred by troubles such as failure in the overcurrent detecting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
