PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce consumption of a cleaning tape in a cleaning device for an optical connector. SOLUTION: Long and narrow cleaning guide slots 17a, 18A of a cleaning guide slot plate 16A which is used for cleaning the tip end of an optical connector are inclined to the longitudinal direction of a cleaning tape 41. Since the used portion of the cleaning tape protrudes outside the cleaning guide slots 17A, 18A, one feed length of the cleaning tape 41 is shorter than the length of the cleaning guide slot 17A, thereby suppressing tape consumption.
