PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross joint type joint of a propeller shaft for a vehicle which is capable of avoiding play from being produced by securely fixing a bearing, even though dimensional error and assembly error exist on a component and simultaneously is capable of easily performing disassembly in the event of maintenance. SOLUTION: The joint is equipped with a cross shaft member 3, a yoke 4 in which insertion holes 4a,4b which can insert a pair of axles 3a,3b of the cross shaft member 3 are formed, respectively, a bearing 5 which inserts through the axles 3a,3b inserted into the insertion holes while being fitted into the insertion holes 4a,4b and permits rotation of the cross shaft member 3 with respect to the yoke 4, and a fixed means which fixes the bearing 5 to the insertion holes of the yoke 4. The joint is configured so that the fixed means combines a rubber member 7 and a circlip 6. The joint is configured so that the rubber member 7 can be compressed in axial direction of the bearing 5 when the bearing 5 is fixed by the circlip 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
