PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the phenomenon observed in an inkjet recorder that a longer interval of consecutive scans than usual causes a higher than usual overlap concentration between adjacent dots to lead to the unevenness of concentration, causing the degradation of images. SOLUTION: An inkjet recorder of a serial scan type comprises a data table on the variation of concentration which is produced by the overlapping between adjacent dots depending on a scanning time interval and a means for detecting the position of the images to be recorded before and after the change of the scanning time interval. Half-toning performed to the detected position based on the data table on the variation of concentration allows the image processing in consideration of the change of concentration produced by the overlapping between adjacent dots printed before and after the change of the scanning time interval.
