Methods for identifying modulators of a male germ cell-specific glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDS) are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for screening potential modulators for an ability to 5 modulate biological functions of a GAPDS polypeptide.
