<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body structure of an automobile capable of reducing an installation space of a brake operation device, and widening a vehicle interior space while securing the safety of the vehicle interior. <P>SOLUTION: In this body structure for the automobile wherein the brake operating device 1 having a master cylinder 2 generating the hydraulic pressure by the pedalling force of a pedal, a brake booster 3 connected to the master cylinder 2 for reducing the pedalling force by generating the assist force in generating the hydraulic pressure, and an input rod 4 for connecting the brake booster 3 and the pedal for transmitting the pedalling force of the pedal to the brake booster 3, is fixed and held on a dash panel D mounted in the vertical direction of the car body by a mounting means 5, a mounting hole 6 formed on the dash panel D has the shape of a slot expanded in the car body width direction in accordance with the mounting means 5 of the brake operating device 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
