<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the maintenance of a fuel tank for a liquefied gas in which an in-tank type pump is applied to the tank. <P>SOLUTION: A pump assembly 11A having a leg member 12 which has a cover member 15A, a pump 16, a pump driving motor, a discharge passage 17, a lead wire 18, and a discharge passage 20 with a switching valve 22 is inserted into a casing 2A; and the member 15A is fixed to the fuel tank 1A. The member 12 presses down a closing member 6A, and a channel for feeding the liquefied gas F of the tank 1A to the pump 16 is formed. When the fixture is released, an elastic member 8 lifts the member 6A integrally with the assembly 11A to close the lower end opening surface of the casing 2A. Accordingly, the gas F sealed in the casing 2A is discharged from the passage 20 into the atmosphere.
