PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out drawing verification having a high level, and to objectively guarantee quality of a drawing. SOLUTION: This drawing verification system is provided with a knowledge/case DB 10 capable of systematically administrating and storing the knowledge of a designer/trouble cases in the past, a knowledge registering means 60 to register the knowledge/the trouble cases in the DB, a drawing verification means 20 to mechanically verify the contents of electronic drawing data by acquiring necessary knowledge/trouble cases from the DB, a verification result display means 30, an automatic correction means 40, and a quality certification means 50. When electronic drawing data to be verified are extracted, items possible to be verified in the extracted contents are classified and arranged. The knowledge/cases in conformity with the classification of the items possible to be verified are extracted from the DB, whether there is a trouble case or not in the contents of the electronic drawing data is verified, the verification result is presented, the trouble case discovered in the drawing is mechanically corrected by using the knowledge/trouble cases in the DB, and quality certification information is automatically added to the electronic drawing data which have been verified or corrected.
