摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive material transportation apparatus capable of easily transporting a radioactive material stored in a container with a small radiation shielding capacity and enhancing the work efficiency of loading the radioactive material into a storage tube. SOLUTION: The canister transportation apparatus 6 has a transportation truck 26 and an air pallet 29. The air pallet 29 has a transportation platform 49 having an opening 16 through which the canister 4 and a shielding plug 34 pass, and eight diaphragms 22 surrounding the opening 16 are installed on the platform 49. A first radiation shielding body 19 having a canister storing part 18 formed therein and a second radiation shielding body 28 having a shielding plug storing part 21 formed therein are installed on the top face of the transportation platform 49 movably along the top face of the platform 49. Lift devises 15 and 23 are provided within the canister storing part 18 and the shielding plug storing part 21.
