PURPOSE: A system and a method are provided to significantly reduce space occupied by the system, and process a large amount of moiled funnels into neck sealed funnels in a short time period. CONSTITUTION: A system comprises a funnel supply unit for transferring a plurality of moiled funnels(18) along a funnel supply path; funnel releasing units(30,32,34,36) for releasing the moiled funnels from the funnel supply unit and temporarily holding the funnels at a standby position; neck supply units(38,40) for transferring necks(50) along a neck supply path; neck retainer units(42,44,46,48) for receiving necks from the neck supply units and temporarily holding the necks at a standby position; moil cutting and neck sealing units(20,22,24,26) for cutting moils from the moiled funnels, and generating neck sealed funnels(28) by sealing necks to the moil cut surfaces; a funnel outlet unit for discharging neck sealed funnels along a funnel transfer path; and funnel transfer units(76,78,80,82) for picking up moiled funnels and necks from the respective standby positions, transferring the funnels and necks to the moil cutting and neck sealing units, and picking up and discharging neck sealed funnels from the moil cutting and neck sealing units.
