PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream distribution method and apparatus, and a stream distribution program for distributing streams to a client by distributing a load to a plurality of connected lines when a stream distribution server has a plurality of the connected lines. SOLUTION: A resource management section 25 manages the number of distributed clients, or a distribution band, or contents by each NIC, and selects the NIC, from which contents are distributed to a client 1, from an NIC having the least number of distributed clients, or an NIC with the least distribution band, or an NIC having the contents upon receiving a stream request from the client 1, and informs a stream request reception section 24 about the result. In transmitting stream data, the stream request reception section 24 informs a stream data transmission section 26 about the NIC having the least number of distributed clients or the NIC having the contents about which the resource management section 25 informs the stream request reception section 24.
