PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminated display system in a communication apparatus wherein a communication destination can easily verified upon registration or call incoming without verifying by character display on a display surface of a telephone set or lighting indication at a specified ten key among ten keys. SOLUTION: In the communication apparatus, identification information on each communication destination is set in a phone book function associated with the communication apparatus so that the identification information is displayed on an LCD screen of the communication apparatus in a predetermined display color which is different for each management species group of communication apparatuses. When registration operation for a new communication destination has been carried out, or the communication apparatus has received an incoming call, the display in the predetermined color on the LCD screen is given, and further the keytop of the communication apparatus is displayed by LED illumination in the display color assigned to the management species group to which the communication apparatus belongs.
