PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut for a bolt tightening the wood frame of a wooden house which automatically tightens the looseness thereof due to a shrink of wood. SOLUTION: When the bolt 2 tightening the wood frame 1 is tightened using the nut 4 with a recess 9, a spring 5 with projections 8 is inserted on the nut 4, and a nut 7 having therein a spring 6 with a recess 9 and claws 10 and 11 on the inner and outer sides thereof is screwed onto the bolt 2, and the projections 8 of the spring 5 are fitted into the recesses of the nuts 4 and 7, the spring 5 is windingly tightened by the nut 7. When a clearance is formed between the wood 1 and a flat washer 3 or the nut 4 due to a shrink in the wood, the nut 4 is rotated by the reaction of the windingly tightened spring 5 until the clearance is eliminated.
